Launching Secure File Transfer apps: Feedback wanted!
We are very pleased to announce the release of Destiny and Winden (in beta) and want you to try them out.
Both apps use the Magic Wormhole protocol to allow private, secure file transfers at speed. They are both identity-free, meaning that senders and receivers don't need to know each other's identity to use it, and the apps do not require people to sign up or log in. They also ensure files are end-to-end encrypted. File transfers happen in real-time between two devices; files are never stored on our servers.
Winden is a web application. The Beta version is available via Winden.app; simply upload or drag and drop a file, share the one-time-code with the receiver (or yourself) and click send.
Destiny is a desktop and mobile app. It is available for download via Github for Mac, Windows, Linux, and Android (Google Play Store coming soon). Read our blog post for more.
If you are looking for secure and private ways to send (large) files try out these apps and give us your feedback (here for Winden, here for Destiny).
