New Reality, More Opportunities to Connect

This picture above somewhat represents our new professional and personal reality. To our best guess, it will continue changing and testing our adapting skills.

For GLL as a remote global network this time brought new challenges as well as many new opportunities to connect, engage, share, act.

We were excited to see our members actively helping Lithuania to raise funds and provide medics with protection equipment as an emergency response.

Others responded to the call for GLL Competence Reserve which resulted in GLL THINK&DO TANK as platform for competence enablement. Read more on that bellow.

GLL also established a platform for fast online exchange of ideas, insights, information among Lithuanian professionals worldwide in a series of GLL ONLINE COMMUNITY SWAPS. A great success of the first two events held in April encourages us to continue the series as part of our Supporting Member value program. Read more about upcoming online events bellow.

Last but not least, this pandemic also brought a clear understanding that this community is as much sustainable and vibrant as our members are contributing to its existence. Thanks to all GLL members who already support this community financially! With every month we will create more and more exclusive content and networking opportunities for our Supporting Members only, in order to eventually become a purely membership based organisation by the end of 2020.

After all, no need to wait. If you already experienced the value of this global community, choose an annual Support amount which matches your current capabilities and fuel this community with resources to act faster in response to turbulence which is still ahead!

Faithfully yours,

GLL Team

GLL Initiatives to Join

The Call for GLL Competence reserve had astonishing results. In three weeks, it developed into GLL THINK&DO TANK - a platform for high-competence professionals with crisis management skills to formulate tasks-forces in three key topics of the new post-crisis reality:

  1. E-Governance and E-Voting group, essential for the insurance of global participation in the upcoming Parliament elections (scheduled for October 11), led by New York based Rimvydas Baltaduonis
  2. GLL Security Initiative, coordinated by Emerging Threat Assessment coordinator Dainius Balčytis, set off to compile a map of external and internal events&factors that will influence life of Lithuania within a year, as well as create scenarios for their potential developments in order to bring a broader global perspective for Lithuanian media and general publics.
  3. Psychological Impact group, essential to ensure the coping mechanisms available as wide and as professional as possible, led by behavioural scientists Paulius Yamin.

If you too would like to contribute in one of the topic groups above or have an idea you would like to summon a competence group to work on, drop us a note at reserve@lithuanianleaders.org.
