December 2025 marked a month of strong momentum for P@SHA, reflecting our continued commitment to industry representation, policy advocacy, skills development, and global engagement. From leading Pakistan’s participation at the APICTA Awards and convening CXO meetups across regions, to advancing dialogue with government stakeholders and supporting members through knowledge-driven initiatives, P@SHA remains focused on enabling sustainable growth for the IT & ITeS sector.
Our committees continued to drive impactful engagements across skills, startups, cybersecurity, and research, while key publications such as the Policy and Skills Whitepapers and Salary Survey 2025 provided valuable insights for informed decision-making. As we move into the new year, P@SHA looks forward to building on this progress through upcoming engagements at ITCN Asia and international platforms, strengthening Pakistan’s position in the global digital economy.

P@SHA at APICTA Awards 2025
Pakistan showcased its innovation excellence at the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards 2025, with P@SHA leading national participation and coordination. The event brought together top ICT innovators from across the Asia-Pacific region, offering Pakistani companies and institutions a global platform to demonstrate technical capability and creativity.
Pakistan achieved an outstanding milestone by securing seven awards, reflecting the growing maturity and competitiveness of the national technology sector:

HBL P@SHA CXO Meetup Multan
P@SHA hosted the HBL P@SHA CXO Meetup in Multan, bringing together senior executives, founders, and technology leaders for an evening centered on collaboration, regional growth, and industry insight.
The event was powered by HBL (Title Sponsor) and supported by InfoTech Group, BixiSoft, and Global E-commerce Consultants (Gold Sponsors).
The session opened with remarks by Abdul Wahab Ahmed (P@SHA CEC Member & Industry Engagement Chair), followed by an address from Sajjad Syed (Chairman, P@SHA) on Pakistan’s evolving technology landscape and regional opportunities. Key insights were shared by Muhammad Haris Naseer (P@SHA CEC Member & COO, InfoTech Group), while Nasir Mehmood (General Manager Retail, HBL) highlighted financial solutions for tech businesses.
Sponsor sessions by Batool Shamim (Managing Director, BixiSoft) and Sohail Tariq (CEO, Global E-commerce Consultants) focused on digital innovation and global e-commerce expansion. Ali Hasani (Secretary General, P@SHA) outlined P@SHA’s role in enabling regional tech ecosystems, followed by insights from Muhammad Maroof (Team Lead, International Banking, HBL).
The evening concluded with closing remarks by Raheel Iqbal (Vice Chairman, P@SHA), an interactive open discussion with CEC Members, and meaningful networking among participants.

P@SHA x SalesXcelerate Workshop
On December 27th, P@SHA Secretary General Ali Hasani attended the SalesXcelerate Workshop in Islamabad. P@SHA proudly supported the event as the Industry Partner, co-organized by Tiksom Private Limited and TF Business Solutions, to empower founders and sales teams in building repeatable, execution-driven outbound sales engines.
The workshop was packed with practical, hands-on sessions:
- Muhammad Junaid Butt, Co-Founder & COO of Tiksom, shared insights on Cold Email Marketing, showing how to create outbound systems that generate real replies and booked meetings. - Talha Fakhar, Founder & CEO of TF Business Solutions, led a session on Account-Based Marketing using LinkedIn and AI-powered tools, demonstrating scalable and personalized outreach frameworks.

Meeting with SIFC and SBP
On 17 December, P@SHA Chairman Mr. Sajjad Syed and CEC Member Mr. Salman Dar participated in a meeting at SIFC for the final diagnostic review of the IT sector, alongside representatives from SBP and PSEB. Key banking challenges faced by the IT industry were discussed, with P@SHA emphasizing the expansion of purpose codes, expedited integration of Raast and Buna, and concerns regarding credit card charges on ESFCA accounts to facilitate IT exports.

Meeting with SBP on Digitalization of the ESFCA Accounts
On 29 December, P@SHA, represented by CEC Member Mr. Salman Dar, participated in a meeting on the digitalization of Export Special Foreign Currency Accounts (ESFCA) to streamline banking processes for IT exporters. The discussion focused on enhancing online banking features, addressing communication gaps between banks and customers, reviewing banks’ existing ESFCA capabilities, and setting a timeline for the phased integration of improved digital functionalities to facilitate smoother export transactions.

Industry- Stakeholder Consultation for the National IT Census
Secretary General Mr. Ali Hasni and Policy and Government Affairs Lead, Gulraiz Iqbal attended the Industry-Stakeholder Consultation on the National IT Census, held with representatives from PBS and PSEB. The meeting served as an introductory session to initiate Pakistan’s first-ever National IT Census and gather industry inputs.

On 10th December, P@SHA Vice Chairman Raheel Iqbal attended the Opening Ceremony of the 6th IEEE International Conference on Innovative Computing (ICIC 2025) at the University of Management & Technology, Lahore.
Raheel Iqbal delivered a keynote speech highlighting the latest trends in innovative computing, the role of technology in driving digital transformation, and the importance of collaboration between industry, academia, and startups to build a strong tech sector in Pakistan.
The conference provided a platform for students, researchers, and industry professionals to exchange ideas, explore emerging technologies, and discuss solutions for real-world challenges.

In December 2025, P@SHA officially relaunched its master classes 2025, with its first session on 10 December, 2025. This project has been initiated for the CXO-level executives and leaders to provide them with engaging learning experiences.

Technical Committee Meeting to finalize competencies for centralized Test
A Technical Committee meeting was held on December 8 at the Higher Education Commission (HEC) to finalize the competency framework for the upcoming centralized graduate assessment test, with the Vice Chairman, Raheel Iqbal, chairing the session and Aleem Abbas, Manager, Skills Development at P@SHA, moderating the discussion. The committee comprised key representatives from industry and academia and focused on aligning the test with industry demand, applied skills, and analytical competencies. The finalized competencies and key findings have been formally shared with HEC and the Ministry for further deliberation and next steps.

3rd Project Steering Committee Meeting for EU’s TVET Sector Support Programme implemented by GIZ and British Council
P@SHA participated in the Steering Committee meeting organized by GIZ and the British Council as part of the EU programme review for the TVET Sector Support Programme. During the session, P@SHA actively provided inputs on strengthening industry engagement and shaping interventions to be output-oriented, demand-driven, and aligned with market needs. The programme appreciated P@SHA’s contributions, and P@SHA will continue to advise and support the initiative to better align programme funding and activities with evolving industry requirements.

The session covered business setup requirements, market entry challenges, and growth opportunities for Pakistani companies looking to expand to the UAE, providing practical insights to support international business ventures.

P@SHA as Industry Partner at the Annual Cyber Security Conference Pakistan 2025
P@SHA partnered as an Industry Partner for the Annual Cyber Security Conference Pakistan 2025, convening policymakers, industry leaders, and cybersecurity experts to strengthen Pakistan’s digital resilience.
Sajjad Syed (Chairman, P@SHA) delivered a keynote on Cybersecurity as a National Priority, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding critical infrastructure and fostering public–private collaboration. Salman Dar (P@SHA CEC Member) participated in a panel discussion focused on national risk assessment, highlighting mitigation strategies and coordinated approaches to emerging cyber threats.
The conference concluded with recognition shields presented to P@SHA representatives, reaffirming the association’s commitment to promoting cybersecurity awareness and supporting a secure digital future for Pakistan.

The whitepaper presents a strategic assessment of Pakistan’s readiness for an AI-driven digital future.
