The critical importance of our local food supply, the next KSQ Speakers Series event, annual plant sale, and lots to do and see this spring

“The beauty of being local, and small, is that we have more flexibility in filling gaps in the supply chain,” says Harvest Market Marketing and Sustainability Manager Holly Tyson. “We rely more on our neighbors than on what’s coming from across the ocean, or from California.”

KSQ Farmers Market is now open 3pm to 6pm every Friday—and the countdown is on to the regular summer season!

You can continue to find fresh vegetables, mushrooms, meat, bread, and more at the KSQ Farmers Market from 3pm to 6pm every Friday at The Creamery.

Kennett Square is beginning to bloom!

A big thank you to Bill Reynolds of Pratt’s Greenhouse, the Borough of Kennett Square’s Public Works Department, and all of the amazing volunteers from the Four Seasons Garden Club and the Spade and Trowel Garden Club for brightening up the planters in town last Saturday with spring plantings!

KSQ Plant Sale to feature sunflowers

As Southern Chester County residents eagerly await the spring planting season this year, Kennett Square Beautification Committee members are raising awareness and showing solidarity with Ukrainians by featuring sunflower plant starts and seed packets at their annual plant sale.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, April 30th (8am–4pm) or Sunday, May 1st (10am–4pm) and support the annual Kennett Square Beautification Plant Sale—just in time for Mother’s Day!

You'll find a beautiful selection of hanging baskets, annuals, perennials, succulents, pollinators, container plants, and more.

This year’s plant sale will once again be held at Pratt’s Greenhouse, just off Hillendale Road in Avondale.
