January 2019

January’s best seller was Dr Michael Mosley’s ‘The Fast 800: How to Combine Rapid Weight Loss and Intermittent Fasting for Long-Term Health’, which sold 1225 copies last month. Scott Pape’s ‘The Barefoot Investor’ remains in the top 3, selling 1050 copies. ‘Normal People’ by Irish author Sally Rooney is the third best seller, with 992 copies sold.

Books and Burgers

Over the final 6 weeks of summer McDonald's will distribute 800,000 Roald Dahl books instead of toys in their Happy Meals.

Extracts from the stories of 'The BFG', 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory', 'Willy Wonka' and 'Matilda' will be accompanied by the famous illustrations of Quentin Blake.

Following this promotion, McDonald's will have distributed 3 million books in New Zealand and close to 450 million books globally.
