Incident Description

Approximately five to six armed perpetrators on board a skiff used a ladder to board a container vessel. Crewmembers spotted two of the perpetrators near to the vessel's bridge and proceeded to sound the vessel's alarm system and lock themselves in the bridge control room and crew quarters. All of the vessel's lights remained on. The vessel then proceeded at full speed towards Tema, Ghana causing the moored skiff to break away. It remains unclear whether the two perpetrators spotted near the bridge remain on the vessel. However, there are no reports of crew injuries at this time. Location approximate.
