Treasury has announced several application and reporting deadline extensions for certain COVID-19 related relief funds and programs. These updates are listed below. Upcoming Deadlines
Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF)
The HAF compliance report for Tribal Nations that received over $5 million is due on June 10, 2022. Treasury encourages Tribal Nations to submit their HAF plans as soon as possible, which can be submitted through the Treasury online portal.
Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERA1)
The ERA1 request for reallocated funds deadline is June 10, 2022. Treasury has also recently released an Addendum to the Reallocation Guidance for Tribal Governments, which provides more information on excess funds, recapture, and reallocation. Questions should be directed to EmergencyRentalAssistance@treasury.gov, and should include your ERA1 grantee number in the subject line.
Application Deadlines
Capital Projects Fund (CPF)
Treasury has extended the application submission deadline for Tribal Nations applying for the CPF to August 15, 2022 by 11:59pm ET. Each Tribal Nation has been allocated $167,504 in CPF funding. Please view the CPF’s Tribal allocation methodology
for more information. For additional information on access and use of CPF funds please view the CPF Guidance for Tribal governments. Treasury has also published a list of awarded CPF projects for Tribal governments, with project descriptions, to provide information on potential uses of CPF funding for Tribal governments.
Treasury is hosting Tribal Office hours weekly on every Thursday from 3:00pm to 4:00pm ET to provide Tribal governments with assistance on the CPF. Please click here to register to attend one of these weekly office hour sessions.
State Small Business Capital (SSBCI)
Treasury has extended the application submission deadline for Tribal Nations applying for the SSBCI program to September 1, 2022. The deadline to submit an application for the SSBCI Technical Assistance (TA) Grant Program has also been extended to September 1, 2022
by 11:59pm ET. Questions on the SSBCI program should be directed to your SSBCI outreach manager or emailed to ssbci_information@treasury.gov. The SSBCI outreach team is available to discuss the program with any participating Tribal Nation or Tribal partner organization.
