On the occasion of the closing of this second season of residencies, I want to announce that I will end my participation in the programming and artistic direction of Salon58, to better invest myself in other adventures.

It was a joy and an honor to be able to imagine, and then witness these meetings between the public and the artists. To be able to offer artists the opportunity to soak up the wind of Haute-Gaspésie, the poetry of the mountains, the singing of the river...

Thank you to Priscilla for her confidence and determination in developing this project! Hope to see you all again, until then good luck to all of you, and long life to Salon58!

- Benoit

New partnerships

After 2 years of co-artistic programming with Benoit Paradis, Priscilla Guy takes the reins of Salon58 on her own. To ensure a plurality of points of view in the programming, she will join forces with several partners and guest curators.

For 2021, Salon58 has already established 8 partnerships with key cultural organizations: MAI - Montréal Arts Interculturels, BIGICO, Nyata Nyata, La danse sur les routes du Québec, Regroupement du conte au Québec, Recto-Verso, Festival Tour de Bras and CÉGEP de Matane. To learn more about the nature of these partnerships, join us during the virtual information session on December 8. >>>

This 3rd season of residencies, the program of which will be unveiled on January 5, 2021, will bring together no less than 30 professional artists from all corners of Quebec and from different artistic disciplines. In this dense program, a special place will be reserved for artists from Haute-Gaspésie, a sign of the dynamism of professional artists here in the region.

Artistic residencies at Salon58: virtual visit, operation and testimonials

On December 8 from 9:00am to 11:00am, Salon58 invites you to an online information session for presenters, artists and the general public, hosted by Priscilla Guy, artistic director and co-founder of Salon58.

We will present a brief history of Salon58, then we will detail its current operation in terms of residency conditions and rental options. We will then give the floor to five artists who have benefited from a funded residency.
