Sometimes it feels like we don't have enough time to achieve our dreams - to do what we are passionate about.
But we do.
Beloved actress and comedian Betty White died on New Year's Eve at the age of 99. Her career spanned eight decades and she won the Guinness World Record for Longest TV Career by an entertainer. And most importantly - she never stopped doing what she loved.
She left us all wanting more. What an inspiration!
January is a month of new beginnings. A chance to reset, apply self-care, and re-orient toward our dreams.
What do you dream about - and what are you filling your mind with? Does it support your desires?
As an unknown indie author, I find myself attracted to underdog stories like Creed (his line "I'm not a mistake" gets me every time) and TV series like Jann (more below). Books about no-win situations like Fallen and mysteries solved by unlikely sleuths like A Good Girl's Guide to Murder (more on both below).
Inputs that reaffirm this month's mantra - You can do anything.
Really.
We just need an intention that supports our dream and a small commitment toward it each day. You never know how far it will take you.
That is how I got to a healthier weight (always working on it), stayed sober, and even wrote my first book. By breaking down the intention into small healthy bites. Like walking daily, staying dry one day at a time, and writing 25 minutes each morning.
This mini change approach (yes that is why I named my business Mini Change Yoga) allows success every day, without pressure.
When you look back on December 31, 2022, what do you want to have accomplished? What small actions can you take to get there? If you need help identifying your goals/objectives, and the smaller steps to achieve them click here.
Hope this helps.
Wishing you a healthy and happy January filled with inspiration and love.
Namaste.
