Winter term 2022
Given my obsession with all things ancient Greek, H.M. Classics Academy has been lacking in Roman history content but Pam Heron will remedy this in February!
Pam's five-week course will provide you with a whistlestop tour through Roman history beginning, pre Romulus and Remus, with Aeneas fleeing Troy, we will then look at Romulus and Remus and the following Regal Period, then through the Republic and its change to the Empire. The course will conclude with the decline of the Empire.
By the end of the course students will have a better understanding of the interconnectivity of each period and will have a wider knowledge of this fascinating and ever changing period of world history.
Classes will be conducted via Zoom on Tuesdays, 19:00-20:00 (UTC, UK time) on 22nd February, 1st March, 8th March, 15th March and 22nd March 2022.
Pam graduated from the Open University with a BA (Hons) in Classical Studies and is now working towards an MA in the Classical Mediterranean with University of Leicester. She works for the University of Liverpool in their Vet school.
