The Actors of Dionysus are the UK’s leading interpreters in the field of Ancient Greek drama. Before the pandemic, they performed regularly including at international festivals including The Edinburgh Festival and High Fest in Armenia, as well as in Greece, Turkey, Croatia and Albania.
Since March 2020, the Actors of Dionysus have been producing daily videos of readings from ancient literature. Entitled #dailydose, the Belfast Summer School tutors were delighted to participate. Here are four of us reading from our favourite ancient texts.
I'm the coordinator of the Belfast Summer School where I teach classical Greek and I read from Chariton's Callirhoe, one of the ancient Greek novels.
