More great things...
Show Up. Be Seen. Stand Out. Are You Game?

Hello again,

Welcome back to the latest edition of "Great Things".

I wrote this email at The Cosy Club – love the name, love the food, loved the company :) I still revel in the ability to work from anywhere, even over a decade after I began.

The Latest & Greatest

One of my previous managers at Accenture shared this from Harvard Business Review on LinkedIn: How Will You Measure Your Life?

It's relatively long and if you don't enjoy 'business speak', you'll likely skim past this thinking "It's just not for me". That would be a mistake ;) There are some really insightful and powerful suggestions for how to answer the following questions:

  1. How can I be sure that I’ll be happy in my career?
  2. How can I be sure that my relationships with my spouse and my family become an enduring source of happiness?
  3. How can I be sure I’ll stay out of jail? (this one isn't as ridiculous as it seems!)

There's advice about parenting, intimate relationships, life purpose, long term results vs immediate gratification, integrity, boundaries and lots lots more. It's well worth thinking about.

My Something Great (AKA How I Can Help!)

We continue to share publicly some of the more interesting things we come across – articles and other resources – on LemonAid (we're using it a bit like a lifestreaming tool vs a 'blog') – alongside members-only video posts about our own journey to forge a relationship, based not on the usual co-dependent ties but on showing up fully, shadow sides and all (not for the faint of heart!).

Applications are now open for the upcoming course on how to get your first remote role; if you haven't seen our creative funding options, it might be worth a look, especially if you're the kind of person who has previously considered remote working totally out of your league/experience.

Have a great week – until next time,

Lea x

P.S. This describes the 'strategy' I used (though I didn't really see it as a strategy when I did it!), for finally deciding to come out age 39, and live the life I knew I always wanted to.
