Why would someone seek out a slim silhouette corset? Perhaps it fits their body type more comfortably, or because they’re using their corset for posture support or pain management without wanting too much waist reduction.
Slim corsets would also fit ‘apple’ shaped bodies (those with a natural waist that is the same or larger than their hip). If one has a convex tummy that is larger than their hip measurement, it’s theoretically possible to tightlace (achieve 20% waist reduction) in one of these corsets, and making the slim silhouette a more appropriate entry-level corset compared to hourglass options.
