Hello ,
July has just come to an end. With August, there always is a certain amount of melancholy for me. I don't know if it is the end of summer or simply because I am somehow still used to considering September as a sort of "beginning of the year".
In August, I often find myself reviewing what I managed to accomplish and what I didn't, in order to get ready for new projects in September.
There are many projects on the to-do list in September, but I will tell you more about them in the upcoming newsletter! For now, let's return to the loom project I first told you about in the July Newsletter (if you don't know what I'm talking about, you can find it HERE).
I'm actually in the process of creating a frame for Luneville embroidery. One that's large enough to allow me to bead an entire dress.
In order to succeed, the frame measurements had to be at least 2 m x 1 m.
I ended the newsletter with me searching for someone to transform the wood I had purchased online into the project I had outlined in detail.
Well, I was able to do it. A friend of my partner's father has a passion for carpentry and was willing to make the frame for me.
I was a bit worried, since the first frame I had made by a professional carpenter and had paid a good amount for turned out to be a complete disaster. Can you believe it was so poorly done that I had to insist on making modifications to be able to use it effectively?
However… I am very excited to introduce to you...

My new frame!! Isn't it absolutely magnificent?!
