Necco Wafers, Double Bubble, SweeTarts, Pop Rocks, Charleston Chew . . . their very names transports of delight to a time and place, the sweetness of childhood memories held inside their wrappers.

The treats are sweet at the newly opened Mrs. Robinson’s Sweets & Treats at 131 East State Street in Kennett Square, but the stories might be sweeter still.

Those stories begin with this fresh, happy space that seems, if a place can be said to hold its own kind of magic, to have been waiting to become a candy shop.

“At last! The best new thing to happen to Kennett Square is almost here: our first annual Kennett Summerfest Wine and Spirits Festival,” says Aimee Olexy, founder and owner of Talula’s Table.

“Our region is abundant with incredible winemakers, distillers, and grape farmers! It is about time that they get the consumption and tailor-made festival they deserve. Talula’s Table is excited to pair the perfect cheeses for this very elevated and anticipated outing! Don’t miss this new Kennett Collaborative experience.”
