The New Year is here (can you believe it!) and it is the perfect time to start planning for a break in Keswick. Local Photographer Goes The Extra Mile For Keswick Guide

Our stunning Guide cover photo was taken by local photographer Rob Knowles (pictured here with his dog Rosie and Vanessa, from the Visit Keswick team).

The cover image, taken in November, shows the town and lake hidden by a breathtaking cloud inversion and the photographer himself, along with his dog Rosie. You can read more about how Rob came to take the cover photo here.

The image at the top of this newsletter was also taken by Rob, along with all of this years monthly desktop e-calendar, newsletter and social media header images.

We are immensely grateful to Rob for allowing us to use his wonderful photographs and know that you will love them as much as we do.

Planning Your 2023 Holiday In Keswick

For many people a huge part of going on holiday is the planning. Whether it is a short break, a long weekend, a full week or even two, planning where to stay, what to do and what to see is all part of the fun.

Walk Of The Month

Stonethwaite Valley

This month we are featuring a low level circular walk from Rosthwaite to Stonethwaite and the Langstrath valley. Within only 6 miles you take in Fairy Glen, Black Moss Pot and the Langstrath valley itself, which can feel magical and remote despite being only a relatively short walk from the village.

Keswick Film Festival

23rd - 26th February

Keswick Film Festival returns with a long weekend of films that will delight you, challenge you, entertain you and occasionally, make you wonder 'what was that all about?'

Including Icelandic 'Godland', Iranian 'Winners', highly rated French film 'Full Time' and 'Lunana: A Yak In The Classroom' from Bhutan. Films will be shown at Keswick Alhambra, Theatre by the Lake and Rheged. Find out more and book your tickets now.
