Hey everyone,
It’s the last week of the summer holidays, but we’re not winding down just yet – Freedom Festival is back this weekend and it’s the perfect way to celebrate. Check out the just released festival programme below and get ready for one of Hull’s biggest events.
Secondly, we popped into the historic Earl De Grey building last week to film an update on the refurbishment – there’s some really interesting progress happening, and you can see the latest in our video below.
And finally, we had the pleasure of visiting a cosy pink-themed tearoom that’s just reopened on Newland Avenue. It might be Hull’s most Instagrammable café yet – watch our video below to take a peek!
As always, there’s loads going on across Hull & East Yorkshire. Highlights include Heritage Open Days with a special Hull Minster tower experience, a free all-vinyl DJ set at a top Humber Street spot, and a community celebration of older people coming up soon.
Check out our monthly events roundup article and full listings for even more to see and do.
We’d really like to hear from you – just scroll down to the form and share what you’ve been enjoying or any ideas for how we could improve.
And thank you, as always, for backing Hull What’s On. Every time you share this newsletter with a friend or family member, it makes a bigger difference than you might think.
Here’s to a beautiful last week of the summer holidays!
