Dear Parents and Friends of the School,
Thank you very much for your support of our Parent - Teacher conferences. If you need to follow up with your child’s teacher, please make an appointment that suits both of you.
Tomorrow is Miss Wallace’s last day of school as she has been approved for two terms of leave to travel overseas. All the staff wish her well and we look forward to seeing her back next year.
On Thursday 20 July (first Thursday back in Term 3) we are hosting a Blue Light Day to support the Blue Light Charity. This event is run in conjunction with the police. We are encouraging children to wear blue and bring a gold coin donation. There will also be a sausage sizzle at $2 a sausage. Please note that this event will be cash only - NOT KINDO. ‘North Harbour Blue Light is one of 69 branches of the Blue Light charity organisation working in partnership with NZ Police and communities to empower youth. They run localised programmes and activities on the North Shore targeting local youth issues.’
On Friday 28 July, we are hosting our annual International Student Assembly, which is a wonderful celebration of the 45 cultures present in the school community. Your child should have brought home a newsletter. We encourage all our families who have connections overseas to participate. If you require any further information, please ask me.
One of our parents, Amy Wallis, works at AIA NZ and they are supporting the FIFA Women’s World Cup happening in Auckland next term. AIA NZ is bringing out coaches from Tottenham Hotspurs. It would be amazing if these coaches could come to our school. Therefore could I ask you to register, please? Thank you.
