The Red Witch: League of the Moon, Book 2, will be a Kindle Countdown deal starting on July 12th and ending on July 16th in the USA. The Kindle Countdown deal in the UK ends on July 14th. 

**The way Kindle Countdown Deals work:

The first 34 hours of the deal, The Red Witch will be .99 cents. 

The next 34 hours, it will be 1.99. 

The final 34 hours, it will be 2.99. Once the deal is over, it returns to the full Kindle price of 3.99. 

Price may vary in the UK, but the concept is the same, and the time frame, unfortunately, is shorter. 

Why am I telling you this in a newsletter? Simple. I want you to know as soon as possible so you get the best deal possible. If I were a subscriber to this newsletter, I'd expect nothing less.

That leads me to this question. I really need your opinion on this!

I only have the audiobook for In Your Dreams available right now. My narrator is great, and I think he did a fantastic job. And, more than likely, I will be tapping him for Book 2. 

Buuuuuuut, the idea I'm kicking around is ... maybe I'll do it myself, with my own voice, and voicing the characters exactly as I heard them in my head. 

I know what your thinking, but I swear I only hear them when I'm writing. Really ... okay, fine - sometimes they pipe up when I'm driving around, but they're harmless. Right?

Anyhoo, I need to know what you'd prefer. Do you like it when an author reads his own book, or do you prefer a narrator? Your opinion counts and I am relying on subscribers to let me know what they'd like for Book 2. Just hit that reply button on this email and please let me know.

A little bit of sad news and good news

Well, as most of you know, my wife and I have a lot of pets. If you are new to the newsletter, I'll give you a quick rundown. 

We have one dog, Coco, the Brussels Griffon. She's an absolute sweetheart. Next is Luna, the Devon Rex cat. She's beautiful but insane. Angus, the cranky Quaker parrot, Jason, the misnamed African Grey parrot, Artemis, the cute as hell finch, two yellow parakeets named Sunny and Sweetie, and a Crested Gecko lizard named Gretel. 

And, finally, up until a few days ago, Biscuit the Hamster. Unfortunately Biscuit has left this world for that great Hamster wheel in the sky. He was a good little guy, and we'll miss him. That's the bad news. 

The good news that was bad news for a bit; Coco was really sick and we were afraid she might have to be put down. I don't mind telling you that would have broken our hearts. 

Coco is on insulin and we thought old age had finally caught up with her. Thankfully, my sister is a vet tech and she really knows her stuff. She took Coco to work with her and they ran all kinds of tests on her. It turns out she had pancreatitis. They put her on meds and she has bounced all the way back! Phew! 

A progress update on Book 3

The working title of Book 3, as I might have mentioned before ... a few times ... okay, I'm a little excited about the whole thing ... is Blood, Magic, and Mercy. 

Well, I'm getting really close to the end of the first draft and I'm dying to know how it turns out. 

What's that you say? What do I mean I'm dying to know what happens? Well, just that. And it drives me crazy!!

Yes, it's true. I have no idea what's going to happen! The way I write is the same way I read. I love to watch the story as it unfolds word-by-word. I don't want to know the ending until I get there. It's a hell of a lot more fun that way. 

I just wrapped up Chapter 31 and things are heating up fast. I'm doing my best to get it out to you as soon as I can. 

What I would like to know is, if any of you have Beta reading experience, hit me up with a reply to this email. I am getting my beta reading team ready to go. Let me know if you're interested. 

Also, after the beta reading is done, then it's sent to the editor, when it's returned, I will need to have an Advanced Reader Copy team set up. This will be an advanced copy of the finished book. If you'd like to be considered for an ARC also reply to this email address. It's customary for ARC readers to review the book and post their reviews on launch day. It is not mandatory, but it would sure help out a lot, and would be greatly appreciated. 

I will have more info on this in the next few newsletters.
