The Master of a Liberia-flagged Tanker reported that an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), grey-blue in color and approximately 10 meters in length, approached the vessel and came within 10 to 20 meters of the funnel before departing the area.

The incident occurred while the vessel was drifting approximately 224 NM southwest of Karachi, Pakistan. The crew mustered, and the armed guards on board remained vigilant. No further UAV activity was observed. The vessel and crew are reported safe.

All vessels in the area are advised to proceed with caution and to report any suspicious activities to the UKMTO.
