We've been quiet but we've never stopped! Having turned 3 years old not too long ago, do read this 'love letter' from Alex, we have only grown stronger and won't settle for anything less than that. The parallel universe is evolving fast: we have kept our heads down and mindspace fully occupied to deliver our platform CrossPool. We can't wait to move it from private beta out to the public in about a month's time. News will be coming through shortly.

CrossPool is a digital platform for private markets, based on the thinking that this growing sector is important and bound to be digital. The unwavering digital native population coupled with the rise of wealth in Asia, particularly, have promised huge demand for a wide spectrum of investment opportunities. According to McKinsey's 2019 annual private markets report, private equity has been growing 18% per year over the last 5 years. These markets in private credit, private equity or real assets will benefit from higher efficiency, accessibility and liquidity by utilising digital assets and workflows. We are working with institutional asset issuers and investors and have been placing the first assets on the platform.

Our pilot project in private equity was digitising the investment into a film called Papicha, which has been selected to represent Algeria for Oscars Best International Feature Film, in collaboration with The Lumière Project. The scene sets in Algeria civil wartime, a beautiful girl (papicha) beat against all odds to hold a fashion show in a world that oppressed women. It took 5 years for the director to get her film onto the big screen due to financial difficulties, which was a result of little appetite in feminist films set and shot in Algeria.

Where we'll be speaking
