Creating connections between social entrepreneurs from different regions of the country

This time we were in the south, where we gathered about 40 people interested in responsible entrepreneurship at the IMPACT Forum - Cahul. We are happy to bring the concepts of social business, business with impact and business with socially responsible corporate social or ESG programs closer to entrepreneurs in the communities. From north to south people learn how to deal with garbage

In the last days of June a fourth group of community leaders from the districts of Moldova participated in a series of trainings on waste management. At EcoVillage Moldova, participants learned about good waste management practices and litter reduction methods, and then developed an action plan to implement in their locality. Keep Cool played by young people from Moldova's regions

Since April we have mobilized the moderators of Keep Cool to make 13 games with 126 teenagers and young people. Keep Cool has been played in Cimișlia, Ștefan Vodă, Hîrtopul Mare in the Criuleni district, Chișinău, Goian Penitentiary for minors and even in Romania. Moderators go through a continuous process of development and learning. Read more about these processes here.

The women of Volintiri village can convince you about the benefits of composting

If you've been following us for a while, you've probably read about composting, but also about the fact that the residents of Volintiri village have undergone a series of trainings on waste management, including how to compost, over the past year. Read what locals told us about their experience in this post.

Energy efficiency trainings

On 29-30 June and 6-7 July we organized two trainings on energy efficiency at EcoVillage Moldova. Participants learned from practicing experts who came with their own expertise: someone built their house from scratch according to energy efficiency principles, and someone else comes with solutions that are tested and improved for the realities of Moldova. While Moldova has no organic waste management system whatsoever, the village of Volintiri, in the Ștefan Vodă district, is now becoming an exception. By the way, organic waste (food scraps) makes up more than half of the volume of the rubbish bin, and the villagers of Volintiri have realized that they can turn this waste to their benefit as natural fertilizer. Community composter opening event

More than 100 residents of Volintiri and nearby villages came to the opening event of the community composting facility. This is a new step of the village in the direction of care and protection of the environment (but also of the villagers' health). July 24 was like a kind of feast for Volintiri, as this event gathered them together for a cup of cvas, clothes swap, children painted their own bags and all listened attentively to the expert Alexei Micu on how to use the composting facility correctly. Come to HODINA FEST 2024 and participate in the composting and waste reduction workshop on August 18 at 13:00 and 15:00, free of charge (entry to the festival is on tickets).

Keep Cool game for Russian speakers

We are organizing a new round of Keep Cool at the EcoVisio office, September 7, 11:00. The game is for people aged 12 and over, who want to understand the topic of climate change through board games. Fill in this form to register.

Junior Achievement Moldova has launched a study on social entrepreneurship and needs help. Fill in this short form about social business! The results of the survey will be used in the development of the educational program to promote social entrepreneurship among young people.

In addition to her passion for crocheting and languages, Ilinca spends a lot of time traveling and connecting with people who share the same environmental values.
