Inventor Spotlight: Dr. M. Emin Kutay

Kutay, associate professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, researches ways to enhance pavement technology to extend the durability and longevity of roads. He and his team have developed a software that simulates the movement of trucks on the road and calculates how long that road will last.

Savolainen named a ITE Fellow

MSU Foundation professor Peter Savolainen has been named a Fellow of the Institute of Transportation Engineers, or ITE, for his ongoing contributions and leadership in improving mobility and transportation safety around the world.

FUNDING OPPORTUNITY: Environmental Research & Education Foundation

Pre-proposals due May 1, 2020. Pre-proposals will be accepted starting 15 days prior to the deadline date and up to the close of business (5 p.m. eastern time) on the deadline date.

High School Honors Science, Math and Engineering Program

The Michigan State University High School Honors Science/Engineering/Mathematics Program (HSHSP) is a seven-week, intensive summer research program designed for motivated students from across the United States who wish to gain more experience conducting research while living on the campus of a major research-intensive university. Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG), June 2020

The National Science Foundation released a revised version of the Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG), version 20-1. The updated PAPPG will be in effect for proposals submitted or due, and awards made, on or after June 1, 2020.

New NIH Guidance

NIH has a new guidance coming soon for "SF424 (R&R) - Version F." Submissions after May 24, 2020, will need to follow the new guidelines.
