EOSC and Data Spaces collaboration workshop: Enabling data sovereignty through Trusted Research Environments in European Data Spaces

The EOSC-ENTRUST project is organising an outreach workshop to bring together the project and stakeholders from EOSC and data spaces to discuss the relevance of Trusted Research Environments for them. The workshop will touch on the challenges that data spaces, AI Factories, and the newly established EOSC Federation are facing, and where the results of the EOSC-ENTRUST project fit into these challenges.

Refining and aligning EOSC-ENTRUST TRE driver requirements

The EOSC-ENTRUST project has published a report summarising the revised Trusted Research Environment (TRE) driver requirements and challenges for federated data access in TREs.

The joint workshop brought together the EOSC-ENTRUST, EOSC-SIESTA and EOSC-TITAN projects, highlighted complementarities between the three projects and fostered collaboration around secure and trustworthy data management solutions.

TRE Providers and Drivers updates

Machine-readable second edition of the EOSC-ENTRUST TRE Provider catalogue

The report describes the steps taken to convert the first edition of the catalogue to a functional database. It facilitates a comparative analysis of TRE capabilities, serves as a reference point for expanding the catalogue’s scope and lays a strong foundation for the final version.

Federated analysis of randomised controlled trial and real-world data across two TREs to compare comorbidities in older adults vaccinated against COVID-19

One of the EOSC-ENTRUST use cases has explored useing the blueprint to bridge the traditionally very separated data domains of clinical trials and real-world health data in one solution architecture. The document shows the prototype on utilising individual participant data from a randomised controlled trial hosted in the Clinical Research Data Sharing Repository TRE, along with real-world data hosted in the Health Informatics Centre, with the aim of comparing comorbidities in older adults vaccinated against COVID-19.

CSIC–IFISC launches Epidemiradar as part of EOSC-SIESTA’s Epidemiology Use Case

EOSC-SIESTA Epidemiology use case, led by CSIC-IFISC, has launched Epidemiradar, a citizen science platform designed to monitor influenza and COVID-19 in Spain. The project aims to expand its network of volunteers and improve the tracking of respiratory diseases.

Building a secure future for healthcare data: The synergy between EOSC-TITAN and ENTRUST
