This is the final step in the Regional Project, dedicated exclusively to China.

After careful consideration and extensive consultations with the local NomadMania community, as well as experts on the country, we have introduced 13 new regions to better represent this fascinating, complex, diverse, and vast nation — one that has long been underrepresented.

These changes affect the following provinces:

  • Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Heilongjiang, Hubei, Inner Mongolia, Jiangsu, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Xinjiang, and Yunnan.

Let’s dive into the details here - China, Reimagined: The Final 13 Regions.

Please take some time to explore the changes above. Your map of China has likely been updated, and you may notice a few new white spots :-)

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. However, in this case, the changes represent a step forward as we continue building the best travel list in the world. Thank you for being part of this journey with us.

Soon we will send the full summary of the Regions Review Project.

New Tours This Autumn

Since we’ve officially wrapped up the Regions Project — and everything for our Conference 5 in Brazil is now set — we can finally turn our attention back to something many of you have been eagerly asking for: Tours 🙂

We’ve put together an exciting program for this autumn, with something for everyone. We’ll be releasing new tours every week or so, so stay tuned.

MOLDOVA 🇲🇩 + Gagauzia & Transnistria (August 21–25)

📷 Gypsy Hill, Soroca, Northern Moldova

This short but dense journey through Moldova is designed for travelers eager to explore one of Europe’s most overlooked countries through a unique cultural and visual lens.

Over four days, we’ll cover the capital as well as the north, south, and west of the country, spotlighting fascinating Soviet-era mosaics while unlocking key NomadMania regions and DARE places — including autonomous Gagauzia and Bulgarian minority areas.

For those looking to go even further, the tour also includes a visit to Transnistria — an unrecognized breakaway state — adding a rare and politically intriguing dimension to the experience.

Turkmenistan 🇹🇲 Independence Day Tour (27/09-04/10)

📷 Ancient Merv, Eastern Turkmenistan

This itinerary is built around one of the most significant dates in Turkmenistan’s calendar: Independence Day in Ashgabat (27/09).

The journey begins in the capital amid the celebrations, offering a rare glimpse into one of the world’s most enigmatic countries at its most festive. From there, we travel west to the Caspian coast, continue east to Mary and its remarkable archaeological sites, and finish with an unforgettable overnight stay at the Darvaza gas crater.

This route covers nearly all the highlights of this little-visited yet fascinating destination. 👉 See full details of the tour and book your spot here.

New UN Masters

Welcoming our new UN Masters – April 2026 (and late March!)

We’re excited to celebrate travellers who have reached one of the most impressive milestones in global exploration - visiting all UN countries :-)

Congratulations to our newest UN Masters:

Keep on exploring the world with NomadMania :-)

As Seen On

Recently, NomadMania was featured in Forbes. Our comment was included in the article This 20-Year-Old Is Trying To Become The Youngest Person To Travel To Every Country”, where our founder, Harry Mitsidis, discusses the recent rise in “UN Masters”.

Harry adds that the rise of this achievement is changing how it is perceived. However, country counting alone doesn’t necessarily reflect the depth of a traveler’s experience. NomadMania, he points out, ranks travelers based on regions and level of exploration, not just passport stamps.

Check out our Online Shop. There's definitely something for you :-)
