Boy am I ready for some Summertime fun! How about you?
June has already included a lot of family and friends gatherings for me, and as the weather gets warmer and the vaccines are distributed in our area, I anticipate more to come. I have a few weekends planned, as well as a trip to a Sculpture Garden that has been on my list to visit for some time! Can't wait to fill the well there, pictures to follow!
I am thrilled to have not one, but three writing retreats scheduled this year! Having one-on-one time with my writing without interruption is not something that happens very often, so I will be taking full advantage of the time away. I already have my projects semi-plotted and have promised myself to focus on getting some things wrapped up. If you would like to be part of my selection process for my next #WIP, be sure to see my "Coming Up" notes below.
Speaking of wrapping things up, I have sent off Book 2 of my Goddesses In Love series to my editor, and hope to have comments back shortly. I am right on track for a late summer launch, so stay tuned for Medusa's story! In the meantime, let me know what you are all up to this next few months. Is it opening up in your part of the world, and if so, are you planning any outings? I would love to know so shoot me an email!
I love finding new Paranormal Romance series to binge on, don't you? If you answered yes, you will want to click this link!
I am participating in a Paranormal Romance series promotion, showcasing a number of authors giving away books and shorts to give you a taste of their series. I am giving away Book 1 in my Fantasy/Paranormal Romance series, Sea of Dreams for the entire month of June 2021. If you haven't read it, or if you read it before December 2020, now is your chance to get the relaunched version free! The newsletter provider should recognize you and send you the book without adding you to my sequence again, but please let me know if you have any trouble.
If you already have Book 1 in my series, be sure to stop by the page anyway, since there are a ton of other amazing authors to check out! I have already seen a few I will be adding to my summer read TBR!
While I have done this event live in year's past, this year will be a little different. If nothing else, I have learned to adapt :)
The live event will take place on Sunday, July 18th, 2021, at Eastern Market in Detroit, MI. It is a fun event, so if you are in town be sure to fit it in! Because they had to limit the size, they are also offering a virtual presence for vendors who weren't able to secure a table. I will be participating in this portion of the event, and will provide more details as I know them. Here is what I have so far:
I finished Lore by Alexandra Bracken, and liked it well enough to give it a 4-star review. I just loved the premise, and find I am a sucker for anything that ties in with Greek Mythology. If you have any suggestions for any Greek Myth retellings, please be sure to let me know! I am actually interested in the legend of King Arthur as well if you have any good books you have come across there.
I need help... I had plans to outline Book 3 of my Goddesses In Love series during the first retreat in July. What I am having trouble with is picking the heroine of my story, so here is where you come in. I thought it would be fun if you gave me input on which Greek goddess/nymph/maiden I should write about next. If you are interested in helping out, please follow the link below to my Google survey. I will take responses until the end of June, and then will announce the results in my July newsletter. I appreciate any direction you can give me, I am having a real problem focusing right now. As always, I hope this letter finds you happy and healthy, and if you ever want to chat, you know where to find me!
