    Thought for the day

Which version of yourself are you expressing?

“Most of us are not raised to actively encounter our destiny. We may not know that we have one. As children, we are seldom told we have a place in life that is uniquely ours alone. Instead, we are encouraged to believe that our life should somehow fulfill the expectations of others, that we will (or should) find our satisfactions as they have found theirs. Rather than being taugh to ask ourselves who we are, we are schooled to ask others. We are, in effect, trained to listen to others' versions of ourselves. We are brought up in our life as told to us by someone else! When we survey our lives, seeking to fulfill our creativity, we often see we had a dream that went glimmering because we believed, and those around us believed, that the dream was beyond our reach. Many of us would have been, or at least might have been, done, tried something, if...
If we had known who we really were.”

    Happiness Journal / Daisy

This is actually a big statue of a daisy by the river Aura in Finland. Tourists love to pose in front of it. Here's hoping we'll be seeing tourists in the future after the corona pandemia has passed.

    Dinosaur crossing the road

Why did the dinosaur cross the road?

Because the chicken joke wasn't invented yet.

Do you have a funny story you would like to see published in this letter? An event, what someone said? If so, send me your funny story in an email

(I especially love the funny things children say!).

My email  for this is daily email is

    Today's Happiness

    Flowers by the door

We live in an apartment building that was built in the 60's. It has been kept in a good condition and there are some old people living here who moved in in 1966. They keep their own flower garden by the forest's edge (two, actually). And also the younger generations contribute - they plant flowers in pots by the doorways. A little friendly gesture that brings joy to all those who walk by.
