November brought the end to most of our fall study abroad programs. Harding University in England (HUE) finished its remarkable tour of Europe. Harding in Zambia (HIZ) joined Harding University in Greece (HUG) where they each spent a little time traveling in Greece before touring Egypt together. Lastly, Harding University in Australasia (HUA) spent the first half of the month wrapping up its time in New Zealand before moving to Thailand. Currently, HIZ students are back in the US while HUE and HUG students are either taking part in independent travel throughout Europe or they have returned home. HUA will continue to travel throughout Thailand for the next few weeks before closing out the fall 2022 study abroad semester. Please keep reading below to learn more about each program's activities!
HUE

Harding University in England

HUE began the month by visiting Rome, Italy before moving on to Vienna and Salzburg, Austria. A highlight for many students in Austria was a tour of locations from The Sound of Music. The group also managed a surprise short visit to Budapest, Hungary, adding one extra country to the long list of countries visited this semester. Finally, HUE arrived in Germany where they visited Munich and ended the semester in Berlin. Even though HUE 2022 has just finished, excitement abounds for next year's HUE program! HUE Fall 2023 is already full and has a 15-person waiting list. Sign up today before the waiting list grows even longer!
HUG & HIZ

Harding University in Greece & Harding in Zambia

HIZ left Zambia in the final days of October to join HUG at the Greece campus. During the first few days of November, HIZ toured Athens and Corinth, while HUG visited the Greek island of Crete and took their tour of the Peloponnese region of Greece to places like Corinth, Mycenae, Olympia, and more. After this, HUG and HIZ joined together to tour Egypt. This trip took them from the depths of ancient tombs to the heights of hot air balloons over the Valley of the Kings. They climbed into pyramids, rode camels, and cruised the Nile River for several days, all while taking in the splendor of Egypt together.

HUA

Harding University in Australasia

HUA spent the first half of November in New Zealand where students enjoyed the great outdoors on various hiking trails, kayaking the Milford Sound, and more. After saying goodbye to New Zealand, the group moved to Thailand where they will finish out their semester abroad. So far, they've played with elephants, had the opportunity to ride horses, visited various temples and museums, worshipped with the local church, and even managed to enjoy a traditional American Thanksgiving dinner while in Bangkok.
