Please join Scouting Volunteers, Alumni, James E. West Fellows, Donors, Board Members, and Staff for a unique event featuring Scouting updates, fellowship, and a tour of D-bar-A's famed Trail to Eagle program and Flag Ceremony. At 4pm, we will meet collectively as one group in the outdoor Friendship Center Pavilion, south of the Thomas Trainor Museum parking lot, near Wyckoff Lodge.

Around 5:30pm, you are then invited to travel across the street to Hunters Creek Club for food, beverages, and additional fellowship.

"Camp casual" attire is perfectly acceptable.

There is no cost to attend this event.

The On My Honor Event is the Michigan Crossroads Council’s premier community-facing special event and serves as an annual highlight of Scouting programs for the public each year. In 2022, we are excited to celebrate Kenneth Braithwaite, Immediate Past Secretary of the Navy and US Ambassador to Norway and Brig. Gen Rolf Mammen, Commanding Officer, 127th Wing, Selfridge Air National Guard Base as they receive the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award. Joining our distinguished award winners on stage will be The Honorable Rick Snyder, sharing a special presentation with those in attendance. The event program will be led by notable business leader, broadcaster, attorney, non-profit leader, and national dignitary John Akouri.

 The event is attended by hundreds of community members from across Michigan with the purpose of hearing about the good works of local Scouting and providing an opportunity to support the important mission of the Boy Scouts of America. Highlights of the 2022 event include the rare Distinguished Eagle Scout Award presentation and hearing from a local Scout who will share their “Scouting Story.” Funds raised at the On My Honor Gala support tens of thousands in local Scouting programs. Reservations are required to attend. Tickets are no cost, but it should be advertised that there will be an ask for support of Scouting from the stage near the conclusion of the event and pledge cards will be distributed and collected.

Eagle Scout Alumni of all ages across the state of Michigan are invited to participate in a free outdoor capstone event celebrating 50 years of the National Eagle Scout Association.

On Saturday, September 24, 2022, alumni are encouraged to join us at the Kensington Metropark Group Camp in Milford, MI for this golden anniversary event in conjunction with the largest Scouting camporee in Michigan in 2022.

Eagle Alumni can participate in this exclusive outing (held under a big-top tent) that includes lunch, speakers, networking and fellowship, historical memorabilia displays and sales, camporee activity tours, the opportunity to participate in supporting more than 1000 Scouts in an afternoon conservation service project, and the opportunity to witness the closing camporee show that evening.

Dress is the BSA Field Uniform (optional) or "camp casual" for those who don't have a BSA uniform. Attendees are encouraged to wear their Eagle Medal and/or Eagle Neckerchief, (with or without the full field uniform.)
