We Connect Lithuania - Closing Ceremony

Six weeks of We Connect Lithuania were crowned by touching personal awards at the skyline hall of Vilnius Municipality. Each and every one of the participants were mentioned for their professional and personal achievements. The best ones were officially awarded the title and obligation of the Young Ambassador of Lithuania with guidelines to spread the word around the world on the program, Global Lithuanian Leaders and modern Lithuania. We are extremely thankful for our sponsors, partners, friends, and, of course, the participants, for making this program happen, and can't wait of what's more to come! The entire program couldn't have happened without The Kazickas Family Foundation - Kazickų Šeimos Fondas, their ideas, connections and support, as well as without Lietuvių Fondas (Lithuanian Foundation) support. Media About Global Lithuanian Youth

Even though participants of We Connect Lithuania pilot program of 2018 are back home all around the world, they are sharing their memories and spreading the word about the program in local communities and on media channels. Lithuanian news ("Lietuvos žinios") shared the story of  participant Marius Mereckis about his summer internship in Lithuania with the program and revealed his intentions to come back to live and work in Lithuania. In addition, in a short video interview another participant Lukas Dumašius is sharing his thoughts about the life of being born a Lithuanian in the US, his story, and identity. Growing Attention to Crowdfunding Campaigns

Crowd-fund-raising platform "Talent for Lithuania Fund" is presenting three talented students and their dream studies at world's best universities: Ieva, reimagining public participation in open governance and planning to obtain Public Policy and Global Affairs double Master Degree in Science Po and Toronto Universities; Eivinas pursuing AI proficiency in MSc Computer Science in Imperial College London and Linas, fusing psychology and economics in Science Po and Columbia University.  As the campaign will be open for one more month, take your chance to read applicant's stories and contribute to their success.

Discussion Club LIETUVA³ - Launch of 5th Season

On September 4, GLL in cooperation with law firm TRINITI invites you to open the 5th season of discussion club LIETUVA³. Together with Agnia Grigas, Vygaudas Ušackas, and Marius Laurinavičius, we will be discussing geopolitics of the world while simultaneously trying to find the optimal position for the country. This season, we are presenting a new discussion format. While live-streaming the event, we will invite the experts of the area to join us on the location, and enrich the conversation with their own insights and questions. GLL at Laisvės Piknikas - Festival of Ideas

At 3rd annual Liberty Picnic “Laisvės piknikas 2018. Idėjų festivalis”, GLL director Kotryna moderated the discussion "Immigration: What Are We Afraid of?". The important and interesting question was successfully answered together with immigrants and representatives from the construction and governmental fields. The panel concluded that immigrants are extremely important to Lithuanian economy but for now we lack the effective migration processes, regulations for unskilled employees and strategy for talent attraction. Clubs of Lithuanian Professionals Abroad - In Action

The Clubs of Lithuanian Professionals abroad keep surprising GLL and the whole Lithuanian community with the variety of cooperation projects: Lithuanian Professionals in Oslo will take active part in Oslo Innovation Week by organising short sessions on AI / VR as well as crypto currencies; Lithuanian Professionals in Los Angeles have connected author of SpongeBob Squarepants Kaz Prapuolenis to Comic Con Baltics; Lithuanian Professionals in Dubai organised the roadshow to Lithuania which resulted in actual business agreements. 

GLL Business Advisors - New Export Markets To Be Opened

On September 27, within the program of revived GLL Business Advisors, Lithuania-connected Israeli professional, member of Lithuanian Israeli Technology Hub Len Judes will have meeting Doing Business in Israel with the companies interested in the most recent development of Israeli market. The invitation will be posted on the site of Enterprise Lithuania and GLL facebook page.

Eleonora Jonušienė - Connecting as Profession

One of the most faithful members of GLL Eleonora Jonušienė is known as initiator of living, inspiring, connecting projects wherever her overwhelming career at WarnerBros brings her. While in Sweden, she was at the beginning of project meant for Lithuanian language teachers around the world Draugystės tiltas counting the second decade. While in Los Angeles she brought together young hardworking Lithuanian professionals to Lithuanian American Business Association in Los Angeles which three years ago started the tradition of Annual Film Industry Networking Events taking place at AFM (American Film Market) every November, which played important part so that this year for the first time UCLA Anderson School of Management opens the doors to the companies from Lithuania. Thanks to her cheerful personality and far-fetching Hollywood connections the association was joined by Kaz Prapuolenis – an ideologist behind SpongeBob SquarePants - who is coming to Comic Con Baltics in Vilnius  to renew his personal and professional connection to Lithuania.

Viktorija Gečytė - Dreams Taking Worldwide

If you try to google Viktorija Gečytė you shall be overwhelmed by the announcements of her performances on the most respectable jazz stages in Europe and the United States (next tour there in May, 2019) even though not long ago her career in PR and communication took most of the time. Her decision to follow the dream of jazz singing paid off by the number of invitations to festivals and world-wide events. This year it was crowned by the participation in the European Week of Culture among the most prominent performers of Europe where she performed Lithuanian composition Tales from Lithuania. GLL member since very first Global Lithuanian Awards in 2012, she has also been an active connector of Lithuanians in Paris and the central contact for visiting Lithuanians.
