mHealth Intelligence: Kaiser Permanente, Mayo Launch Coalition to Support Home-Based Telehealth, RPM (10/14) – The Advanced Care at Home Coalition was launched by the Mayo Clinic, Medically Home and Kaiser Permanente, and includes Adventist Health, ChristianaCare, Geisinger Health, Integris, Johns Hopkins Medicine, Michigan Medicine (the University of Michigan), Novant Health, ProMedica, the Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group, UNC Health and UnityPoint Health. The coalition is working to support strategies that use telehealth and remote patient monitoring to provide acute care for patients at home.
mHealth Intelligence: Fitbit Supports mHealth Programs Addressing Social Determinants of Health (10/13) – Fitbit is awarding $300,000 in products and services to six projects that will be using mHealth devices and telehealth platforms that aim to address the social determinants of health.
Modern Healthcare: Best Buy continues healthcare push with Current Health acquisition (10/12) – Best Buy said it plans to acquire Current Health, a technology startup that develops tools for at-home healthcare. The acquisition supports the consumer electronics retailer's ongoing push into the at-home healthcare market. "The future of consumer technology is directly connected to the future of healthcare," said Deborah Di Sanzo, president of Best Buy Health, in a news release. "By combining Current Health's remote care management platform with our existing health products and services, we can create a holistic care ecosystem."
