Welcome to the Mead Way newsletter

This newsletter provides key updates on the Mead Way scheme and details of any road closures and diversions which may affect you, your staff or your customers.

What's recently happened?

Work on phase two from Westmead roundabout to Withymead roundabout is continuing. Over the last few weeks our contractors have:

• removed the kerbs and excavated the verge at the junction opposite Wilkes Academy to expose the utilities
• began drainage work and installation of storm gullies
• vegetation and signage has been cleared

Some utility companies have also been on site to begin their work, with more due on site over the next few weeks.

What's happening next?

• further extensive drainage work will be continuing over the next few weeks to connect phase two to the recently completed phase one (from Meads roundabout to Westmead roundabout) and the stream running through the subway
• BT will be on site to begin diverting their cables
