My baby just graduated to double digits T-T

Xav's original due date was July 5th. We were hoping he'd come a day early so we could tell him all the fireworks were to celebrate his birthday. Instead, he came 4 days early on the 1st, sending me into a last second cleaning spiral as I waited for my honey to collect me for the hospital road trip.

Of course, we still tell Xav the fireworks are all for him. Except for the ones the neighbors shoot off at midnight the day after the 4th. Ruuude. I hope you have more considerate neighbors and enjoyed the holiday weekend!

Our weekend included a small family birthday party where Xav got to splash around with his cousin Mila in the pool and ride the new trike that took us 7+ hours to assemble. And also a custom photo print ice cream cake from DQ!

Writing Updates

I'm still polishing the third and final World Clock Journals book "Time Peace" that's due out at the end of this month. Eeeep! I'm also preparing for the teen writing workshop I run at my hometown library every summer, and putting the finishing touches on the audiobooks Kickstarter for the Lana spin-off series.

The Kickstarter will run through the month of August. I'm ambitiously hoping to raise the production funds for all 5 audiobooks at once. There will be a few exclusive goodies in the reward tiers that I can't wait to tell you all about!

There are lots of meaty good things brewing in the cauldron right now, and I'm looking forward to sharing more with you very soon. In the meantime, I hope you're staying cool and reading lots of great books in the shade!
