FSU College of Business, Google partner to offer free AI-powered management training

FSU is partnering with Google to offer students complimentary access to the Google People Management Essentials certificate program, which helps students gain leadership and professional skills, while also learning how to use artificial intelligence (AI) at work. FSU celebrates legacy, tradition during annual Homecoming Parade

The FSU community united for the university's annual homecoming events Friday, Oct. 24, through Sunday, Nov. 2 with the theme "Legacy in Every Frame." This year, all personnel from the FSU Police Department and Public Safety Department were recognized as Homecoming Parade honorary grand marshals, represented by FSU Police Chief Jason Trumbower (B.S. ’98) and Assistant Vice President for Public Safety Barbara O’Connor. Read more ...

Third annual Discovery Days showcases research across Florida State University

The third annual FSU Discovery Days, held Oct. 18-25, was an opportunity to celebrate the exciting research and creative work happening all across campus. More than 2,500 people attended the weeklong showcase which introduced a new center that will use food and nutrition as the solution to human health, highlighted resources for entrepreneurs and researchers looking to partner with each other, featured research presentations from students and more. Read more ...

FSU researchers explore tourism as a tool for economic and mental health recovery in crisis zones

Learning Systems Institute Researcher Anna Romanova and Dedman College of Hospitality Associate Professor Sean McGinley are investigating how tourism can drive economic recovery and support mental health in regions impacted by crises such as natural disasters or armed conflict. Their recent study focuses on Ukraine and highlights tourism’s dual role: stimulating local economies through job creation and entrepreneurship, while also aiding psychological recovery for those affected by trauma and displacement. Read more ...

Florida State to host Celebration of International Education

FSU will highlight its internationalization and global awareness efforts during its Celebration of International Education through Dec. 5. With more than 100 international agreements, including cooperative agreements and bilateral exchange agreements, FSU fosters faculty collaborations and student exchanges across the globe. FSU’s international impact is significant, with European study centers in England, Spain and Italy, a branch campus in the Republic of Panama, global exchanges in 21 different countries and 2,790 enrolled international students on campus this semester representing over 125 countries.
