THE WEBER BROTHERS / Wild As The Wild Dogs (Nov. 11)
Speaking of restoring your faith in rock and roll, Ontario-based lifers The Weber Brothers are back with Wild As The Wild Dogs, the first album in what is planned to be a trilogy, comprised of over 30 songs recorded live-off-the-floor the moment they were allowed to get back into the studio following pandemic restrictions.
This is raw rock and roll the way it was meant to be played, and this new collection of tracks serves in part as a tribute to The Weber Brothers' mentor, Ronnie Hawkins, who passed away earlier this year. It's worth repeating that Ryan and Sam Weber moved to Canada from their home in Maryland as teens, just to take a shot at joining the illustrious roll call of musicians who served in Ronnie's band The Hawks.
Needless to say, they learned their lessons well, and with Wild As The Wild Dogs, The Weber Brothers have made what is likely the purest rock and roll record you will hear this year.
