Your photos showcase palliative care practices and experiences around the world, inspiring and informing the global IAHPC community. The IAHPC Photo Contest is yet another opportunity for your colleagues and others to see the palliative care community in action.
The prizes:
- a one-year free IAHPC membership extension plus cash for the top 3 photos (1st place: $500 USD, 2nd place: $300 USD, 3rd place: $200 USD).
- a one-year membership extension for the five runners-up from each WHO region: Africa (AFRO), the Americas (PAHO), Eastern Mediterranean (EMRO), Europe (EURO), South-East Asia (SEARO), and Western Pacific (WPRO)
- those who send photos that follow the rules & the "What not to send" guidelines below receive a three-month extension of their IAHPC membership
The deadline to submit your photos is October 31, 2025.
Your photos can depict activities that support one of IAHPC’s four thematic areas of work: advocacy, education, research, and information dissemination.
These include palliative care-related activities such as patients receiving care, clinicians in a consultation, volunteers helping patients, caregivers providing care, pharmacists preparing or dispensing medications, students learning, activities surrounding palliative care legislation or regulations, and community members conducting advocacy campaigns, to name just a few.
What not to send: Images created using AI, photos that you have not personally taken, group photos of people posing in rows, photos with no people, or headshots (such as passport photos). Do not superimpose words on your photos, or submit screenshots or collages.
