School Closing Information
As the weather begins to get colder, we wanted to remind you of our policy for school closures:
If it becomes necessary to cancel school because of inclement weather, electrical failure, interrupted water supply or other unforeseen development, the closing will be announced on the following stations: Television channels 3, 5, or Fox 8; radio WHBC (1480 AM & FM). We will also use our all call system to call each family to make them aware of the closure.
We use our own school name; however, in most cases if Minerva Local schools have cancelled due to excessive snow, MACS will also close.
* A reminder that part of our Covid-19 Response Plan is for students to have recess and gym activities outdoors as much as possible. State guidelines are that student can go out for recess in weather when the wind chill is above 20 Degrees (F). Please ensure that your child is dress appropriately for the weather.
