| Pastoral Renewal Survey Weekend |
|
|
|
|
Parishes across the Diocese of Calgary participated in the Pastoral Renewal Survey this weekend, marking the first diocesan-wide survey since the Diocesan Synod 33 years ago, in 1990.
If you have completed the survey, consider helping your parish community by encouraging more participation:
- Invite family members and friends who consider the parish their home to take part. The survey is available online. Note that each parish has a specific URL.
- Request pew cards with the survey link from your parish office or direct people to the parish website.
- Assist in delivering the survey to family members, the homebound, or those in senior facilities.
- Hard copies are available from your parish office - or you can also contact the Diocese at 403-218-5521 or email communications@calgarydiocese.ca
The survey will be available at your parish from June 1 to June 14.

In this heartfelt story, Sarah Perkin recounts a life-changing journey of faith that began last year in June. By chance, she discovered a teaching position at Christ the King Academy and reached out to inquire.
Within a week, she accepted a new role in the Christ the King Academy in Brooks, feeling called to this change. Moving with her daughter Anna, Sarah noticed incredible divine interventions that affirmed her decision. This led her to join the RCIA program in October, seeking answers to her deep-seated questions about faith and life. Once their journey into the Catholic faith began, there was no looking back. Held from May 21-23, 2024, in Toronto, the symposium gathered leaders and experts to explore the role of palliative care in fostering compassion and dignity. | A Day without Loneliness |
|

For the 4th World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly on July 28, 2024, the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life has released a Pastoral Toolkit to promote "a Day without loneliness." It includes the official logo, catechesis on old age, Magisterium texts, official prayer, and pastoral suggestions. The toolkit and Holy Father’s Message are available on the Dicastery’s website.
