According to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control & Prevention), one in four adults in the United States has some form of disability. The presentation “The ADA & Disability Inclusion: Best Practices for Accessibility on Nonprofit Boards, Committees & Coalitions” is designed to educate participants on the Americans with Disabilities Act, on the importance of accessibility and disability inclusion, and on providing access and accommodations for individuals with disabilities at meetings.
Join Laura Gold, Community Services Specialist at Services for Independent Living for an informational session that provides a brief overview of the ADA and addresses best practices for accessibility. Participants will also meet Sarah Bullington, a Leadership Academy graduate and member of Art Possible Ohio’s Board of Directors, and Molly Cairney, Executive Director, Art Possible Ohio and hear about their experiences.
