Lucy & Yak introduces L&Y to Bath
Socially and environmentally conscious lifestyle brand Lucy & Yak is excited to announce the opening of its L&Y pop-up in Bath.
Located in the heart of Bath city centre on New Bond Street, L&Y will open its doors this weekend on Saturday 9 May.
Inside, customers will be able to explore its consciously designed collections, all crafted from ethically sourced, eco-friendly materials.
L&Y is designed for those who make a statement - just in a more understated way. Open Asparagus Lasagne with Crispy Serrano Ham
Make the most of British asparagus season while it lasts with this elegant, sophisticated yet super-easy pasta dish.
If you’re cooking for two, use just 4 lasagne sheets but make the same amount of sauce — it’ll keep in the fridge in a sealed container for up to 2 days and is delicious served on toasted muffins and topped with poached eggs for a luxurious brunch.
To make a vegetarian version, omit the Serrano ham and top with lightly-toasted white breadcrumbs for texture.

The Road Rat
The latest issue of The Road Rat is called ‘The Bugatti Ascendancy’ and charts car maker’s climb to the peak of the hypercar range. Alongside classic Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Jaguar E-Types and a BMW described as ‘the car world’s Chanel black cocktail dress’ (the M5 version of the E39-generation 5 Series) you’ll find the all the characters, stories and opinion that attract legions of readers, but for me what make this magazine such a standout analog joy is its superior physical production and this issue (No 23) is touted by the publisher as ‘the most tactile edition of The Road Rat to date, printed on a gorgeous mix of heavy translucent, gloss and uncoated art papers’. It’s true – it’s gleaming.

Bath Rugby Foundation raises over £55,000 at Annual Fundraising Dinner
Bath Rugby Foundation is proud to announce that its 2026 Annual Fundraising Dinner raised over £55,000 to support vulnerable children and young people across Bath and the surrounding areas.
Held at DoubleTree by Hilton Bath, the evening welcomed more than 180 guests for a memorable night centred around the theme of belonging, community, and opportunity.
Guests enjoyed a drinks reception hosted by The Ivy Bath Brasserie before hearing from special guest speaker Johann van Graan, Head of Rugby at Bath Rugby. Johann delivered a powerful and inspiring talk on building a culture of belonging, reflecting on the importance of creating environments where people feel valued, supported, and able to thrive.
Bath Rugby Foundation currently supports over 5,500 young people each year through programmes focused on education, employability, inclusion, and mental wellbeing. However, in a city where over 10,000 young people live below the poverty line, the need for support continues to grow.
Through education, 1-1 mentoring and sport, the Foundation works to build confidence, develop life skills, and create pathways to brighter futures for young people across the community.
