Working Title: Smart Phones and Other Technology: Learners Share Their Stories
Focus of the book: Learning, Social Media, Technology (such as Smartphones, Tablets, and Computers), The Darkside and Brightside to Using Technology to Learn, How People Use Technology to Learn
Audience: Students, parents, academics, teachers, school administrators, School trustees, union organizers, policy makers
Many schools and school districts have banned or limited the use of technology (such as Smartphones, Tablets, and Computers), and many learners are limited by parents, schools, and society regarding how much time they are allowed to spend with technology. We are looking for submissions from mainstream schoolers, alternative schoolers, democratic schoolers, homeschoolers, unschoolers, and anyone in general who uses technology to learn. We are also looking for submissions from ALL age groups so that we get a diversity of voices and empower a larger demographic of learners. For example, we are looking for stories of how you use your technology to learn from TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, gaming, or anything else you do. It could be about how you learn academic subjects, music, cooking or anything else. The idea is that we want to share with others how you learn as you live your life and to make the point that everything we do is learning.
