The Michigan Crossroads Council is offering camping and training course scholarships to help ensure every Scout has the opportunity to experience the adventure, leadership, and growth that Scouting provides. Financial assistance is available for:
- MCC Summer Camps – Day Camp, Cub Scout Overnight Camp, Webelos Overnight Camp, Scouts BSA Resident Camp, Trail to Eagle Camp, and more
- MCC High Adventure – Adventures through Cole Canoe Base and weeklong horse camps at D-Bar-A
- Advanced Training – NYLT, Powder Horn, and other official training programs
Scholarships cover up to 50% of the total cost based on need and available funds. Scouts must be registered with the Michigan Crossroads Council for at least 30 days prior to applying. Scholarships cannot be combined with other discounts and are awarded based on financial need.
Important Dates:
- Applications open: January 1, 2025
- Priority application deadline: April 1, 2025
Each Scout must submit a separate application. Participation in Council fundraising efforts, such as the Popcorn Sale, may be considered during the review process. Scholarship funds will be credited directly to the Scout’s camp or training registration.
