Antonio de Felipe

Antonio de Felipe has developed his extensive work in different series. His subject worlds form a surprising genre blend, a linking of series characters, classical art and commercialism side by side with contemporary icon worship. His motifs are often painted in constellations that pay homage to great artists, including Velázquez, Picasso, Mondrian and others.

Arman

Arman explores reality. He strives to transform and sublimate artefacts into works of art. Starting in the late 1950s, Arman immersed himself whole-heartedly in these inventories of reality. His works featured in a total of almost 500 separate exhibitions during his lifetime.

Karel Appel

Karel Appel, one of the founders of the CoBrA group, is an influential Dutch painter well known for his figurative abstractive painting with expressive colours and forms. Appel’s works are presently held in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Art Institute of Chicago as well as in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.

James Coignard

James Coignard extends the boundaries between concrete and abstract. He knows how to create chromatic melodies that shift in timbre from cobalt blue to blood red. His pictures are an artistic epicentre where lines, letters and numbers meld with vigorous swashes of colour.

Philippe Huart

Working on a variety of perceptual levels, Philippe Huart lets one visit his intimate diary entries or take a tour of his fantasies. His canvases suggest several different readings – aesthetic, message-laden, lyrical, or realistic in a fictional take on the everyday – so as to account for both the uniformity and the disorder of the visual information that is bombarding us.
