Happy Sunday evening Arrowhead!

This is your reminder that our final roundtable of 2024 is this Wednesday, December 11th at 7pm at First Baptist Church of Nashua, 121 Manchester Road, Nashua.

We will start with our breakout sessions:

Our Cub Scout breakout will be a focused discussion on Crossover plus Blue & Gold (B&G) ideas.
The Scouts BSA Breakout will be a facilitated discussion on getting your new Scouts to First Class.

We will end the night together to discuss what unit leaders at both the Cub Scout & Scouts BSA levels may do to set our Scouts up for success during their first year in a Troop.

Join us to close out 2024 with Fellowship and Learning! Hope to see you all there.

Peace Light of North America

Peace Light is a flame distributed from the eternal flame at the Grotto of the Nativity in Bethlehem by Scouts from all over the world. It symbolizes the human connection through the passing of this flame in person.

Best resource is located here. This site was created in 2019 after the passing of Paul Statton. He was the primary keeper of the Peace Light organization coordinating the paperwork and logistics of getting the light to JFK airport for many years. He and I would talk for hours when I had the opportunity to go to JFK to pickup the light. Paul was a Scout in Atkinson NH as a youth. I was fortunate to have made many friends in Girl Scouts, Polish, Russian and Ukraine Scouts and Scout leaders from all aspect of the Scouting movement.

Much of the original Peace Light North America history was in this site here but this site seems to have been modified to de-emphasize Scouting movement. The Wikipedia version is more inclusive of the International Scouting movement.

Future Roundtable Topics

ATTENTION ARROWHEAD! We need assistance planning our upcoming Roundtables. Without your support, we aren't going to be able to keep roundtable going. Below is the list of the topics we currently are planning on, as well as, months we still need to plan. We are asking for you to use your networks to help us find subject matter experts to speak to these topics. Thank you in advance for your assistance with this matter and keeping our Roundtables going!

Super Klondike Derby

February 7-9, 2025 at Griswold Scout Reservation

Join other units for a time of winter camping and fun. Adult volunteers will be key for a memorable time of skill testing and good times. Stay Tunned ~ More information coming soon!

OA Spring Fellowship and Ordeal

SAVE THE DATE!! May 2-4, 20254 at Location TBD.

During this weekend, we induct new Arrowmen into the lodge! Current members are highly encouraged to attend to seal their Brotherhood, or try out being an Elangomat, all while participating in some cheerful service to camp.

Weened #2: October 4-5, 2025 (Sat. & Sunday)

Cost:

$75.00 due at time of registration, but full payment will be gladly accepted
$315.00 early bird price, if paid by July 18, 2025
$340.00 full price, if paid after July 18, 2025
