Another first for Northside!
NCS Cheerleaders are NCA Bound
We are so proud of our NCS Varsity Cheerleaders! They worked hard last week at our NCA Christian Leadership Home Camp! These girls put in some serious work and earned our first ever BID TO NCA NATIONALS!!!
Thank you, Coach Tessa, for your dedication to excellence and for inspiring our girls to always give their best. Because of you, not only have they received this honor and recognition, they have faithfully served all this week in our Sports Mega Camp. What a blessing they have been to the younger children.
Northside Christian School is accepting applications for teaching positions. Any interested candidates may call the office to request an application for employment.

Join us for Parent Orientation
The lifting of COVID-19 restrictions has allowed us to once again gather for parent orientation. This year, we invite our K3, K4, and kindergarten parents to join us in the church auditorium at 6:30 before we dismiss you to meet your child's teacher. After your orientation, milk and cookies will be served in the high school gym.
Parents of first through twelfth grade will meet in the church auditorium at 7:00 for a general orientation, dismiss to classrooms to meet the teachers, and end the evening with milk and cookies in the high school gym.
We'll see you then!

First Day of School Begins with Dedication Service
We are excited to return to our first-day-of-school dedication service in the church auditorium.
Parents will drop off preschool children in the classroom while elementary and secondary students will join their classmates in the high school gym. Someone will then direct parents to seats in the church; teachers will bring their classes into the building shortly after.
After a brief greeting and dedication prayer, parents will form a tunnel down the aisle and across the parking lot while Mrs. Williamson calls the names of our students as they make their way through the "tunnel" to their classrooms as parent cheer them on their way. It's a great way to kick off the new year.
Wednesday, August 18, ONLY
Early Release - K3, K4, and Kindergarten ONLY will release at 11:00.
Grades one through twelve will have regular 3:00 dismissal.
New and Improved PM Carline
Our new and improved carline will be introduced and explained in detail during our parent orientation. You will want to be sure you attend.
The "COVID" carline has been renamed "Rainy Day Carline" and will also be explained for our new families.
This is perhaps one of the most difficult articles I have ever written. By the time you receive it, my time at Northside Christian School will have ended.
What will I remember? The Roll Tide-Geaux Tigers will always bring a smile, especially around the first Saturday in November. Hearing the students quote our proclamation in First Fruits every morning prompted me to pray each time that they would truly grow to know who they are and Who they represent. I have loved the energy of the high school students, bravado of the middle schoolers, excitement of the elementary kiddos, and the unconditional love of our preschool littles. There is not enough time nor space to share my many memories. When I count my blessings, you are in my count.
Thank you, again, for your love, prayers, support, and gifts to this old lady. I am blessed.
Thank you for generously giving to our Gideon's 300 fund. That money paid for all the physical improvements you have seen on campus. Don't stop; there is still much to be done.
Thank you, by faith, for giving to our new building fund and helping us eventually see the dedication of a completed set of new classrooms where students can thrive and grow.
Thank you for entrusting your child into our care. I pray you have witnessed the nurturing of spirits, educating of minds, and equipping and training to transform our world.
God bless you, Northside. I love you. Live for Jesus.

Let's Grow Together
Last school year our board voted to add a building with six classrooms to accommodate our growth. Just as we were about to make the announcement to you, COVID-19 closed down the school year. The board made the decision to place all plans for new construction on hold.
Recently, we received a very generous donation to help reignite the dream for adding those classrooms. To go forward, we need your help. Who will stand with us and help provide the funds to complete the project?
If you want to be a part of the next step in our journey and are able to make a donation, please contact the school at 337-783-3620. All donations are tax-deductible. May the Lord bless you as you give.
Dates to Remember
