To remain silent is to be complicit. There can be no such thing as a neutral arts institution – large, medium or small.

Counterpoints Arts’ mission is to mobilise the arts as a powerful catalyst for social justice and change. We are committed to anti-racism and to exposing structural inequalities and the deep-seated legacies of colonial violence.

We join other organisations and cultural activists across the globe in speaking out in solidarity and to loudly condemn the brutal murder of George Floyd and the many others who have died tragically because of State aggression.

In the words of rap artist, Killer Mike: ‘Now is the time to plot, plan, strategise, organise and mobilise’.
