Dear one6G community,
Another
year draws to a close, and most of us will soon be in the midst of
preparations for the approaching festive season. Before we take a break
from the hustle and bustle of our everyday working schedules and shut
down our devices to go enjoy the company of family and friends, we
wanted to take a moment to reflect on the milestones achieved in the
past year and thank our community for their ongoing support.
2023
has been a truly exciting year for one6G: we welcomed over 40 new
members, signed 6 MoUs, released 4 papers, provided further
contributions to the IMT Vision for 2030 and Beyond, and organized the
first physical edition of our flagship event, one6G Summit, bringing
together over 40 expert speakers and a global audience of 170
participants from nearly 30 countries.
None
of this would be possible without our amazing members who continue to
show their dedication not only to the success of our association but
also to its proper governance. And while our members are the key to the
success of the one6G association, we do not forget about its other
movers and shakers. Our dear partners, sponsors, supporters, and friends
all play a great role, providing an enormous level of support and
motivation.
We
are sure that a lot more will come in 2024, and we look forward to
evolving, testing, and promoting the next-generation cellular and
wireless technology-based communications solutions. By supporting global
6G research and standardization efforts, we hope to accelerate the
adoption of 6G and its overall market penetration while also addressing
societal and industry-driven needs for enhanced connected mobility.
We
thank each one of you for contributing to the success of our
association and we invite you to follow our outreach channels to stay up
to date on one6G activities and relevant events throughout 2024. Last
and foremost, please accept our warm wishes for a safe and joyful
