As April comes to a close, we are delighted to share the highlights from our latest activities and invite you to upcoming opportunities to connect, learn and innovate.

Meet the New HEInnovate Expert Group

We are excited to welcome the new HEInnovate Expert Group — 21 leading experts from 19 countries — who will work with the European Commission to strengthen HEInnovate and support innovation in higher education.

We were delighted to receive over 520 applications from across Europe, showing the vibrant interest in building more entrepreneurial and innovative higher education institutions. Thank you to everyone who applied — we look forward to working closely with the entire HEInnovate community!

The first in-person meeting of the Expert Group will take place on 15 May 2025 in Brussels, kicking off a new phase of collaboration, exchange, and action.

HEInnovate Information Session – 10 April 2025

Our interactive session welcomed participants from across Europe and beyond to explore how HEInnovate can support entrepreneurial and innovation capacities in higher education institutions.
Key highlights included:

• Introduction to the eight dimensions of the self-assessment tool.

• Walkthrough of key resources such as Action Cards and case studies.

• Live polls and a lively Q&A session on institutional challenges and opportunities.

• A preview of upcoming initiatives like the Train-the-Trainer programme in June and closer integration with the Community for Educational Innovation (CEI).

Integrating Entrepreneurial Competences into Higher Education Curricula – 23 April 2025 (CEI Webinar)
