Actually, greetings from South Wales, where I am visiting my mum who has just had a cataract removal. It’s a small operation and it all went really well, thank goodness. But I have a motto: as I live a long way from my family—whenever I’m able to—I will make sure I go back home for weddings and funerals – and medical issues. New babies can wait.
