It has been reported that an incident took place involving a Cargo vessel approximately 33nm South-southwest of Lagos. Details of this incident are yet to be confirmed, Castor Vali will continue to investigate this report and release an update upon receipt of confirmed information.

Update 1 - Initial Reports have been received indicating that pirates were able to board the vessel and kidnap two crew members, both of Russian nationality. The reports also state that the remaining crew members were able to successfully retreat to the citadel. Two Nigerian Naval patrol have arrived at the scene to provide assistance.
